Old Furniture is part of the Call Me Back project.
Old Furniture is a phone call drama between an elderly woman preparing to depart this world by giving away all of her earthly belongings and her grown daughter who refuses to accept both her mother’s mortality and the gift of her mother’s favourite armchair. A tale about generational divide, legacy and the decay of the female body.
In April 2022 Bureau for Listening hosted a live reading of Old Furniture.
